Growing up to 10 feet (3 m) tall, this fragrant bush has 1 1/2 inch (3.8 cm), ball-shaped, pincushion-like flower clusters.

Growing in riparian areas of desert washes and lakes, it makes a good wildlife food even though it is poisonous.
