Plant Type: Herb, Perennial Height: To 3 feet tall Notes: Poisonous. The flowers are solidly colored orange or yellow with 5 reflexed petals, and an erect hood extending beyond the central column. The flowers are in terminal, flat-topped umbels. The green leaves are narrowly lanceolate. It grows in grassy, upland areas and blooms May to September. |
